The 'Uber Sonnar, may not be an actual 6 glass element lens, but would have the bokeh and 'slightly smaller size than the plannar/nokton design. Being a f1.2 rather than f1.1 would mean it would be smaller even if it had the same optical layout. I would be willing to put up with focus shift and vengetting which would trade offs for the good pionts.You just can't push a Sonnar to F1.2 and faster and get a pleasing image.
Yes I know if you want perfect there needs to be a lot of glass. The distance from the rear surface element to the front surface element is greater on th ZM 25mm f2.8 compared to the VC 28MM F2. People say the ZM 35mm f2 is big (I think the size is fine) but you get great performance from it.
