That may be true, but who's going to be using a digital camera from 60 years ago once 60 years have passed? Also, who's to say that any electronic style rangefinder will still work in 60 years?
This is why we should all ditch our cameras and just go back to painting! :angel:
That's not what I'm saying fdigital. It just doesn't matter if it'll be working in 60 years. The fact remains that mechanical rangefinders can be made cheaper than Leica's version and is not the true roadblock for the next manufactuer of a digital sensor / mechanical rangefinder camera.

Another fact remains that cheap is expensive. I'd rather pay $20 once than $9 four times.
