I know 28 is your FOV. Its only been one day, but I already love this lens. For 28 I was shooting a 28/3.5 Canon/Serenar.

Production of silver versions were stopped in the early summer of this year. I just couldn't hold out anymore and got a used non 6-bit black Cron in like new condition. Also coming later this week is a Leica 12466 scalloped hood that is just plain evil.

For now I'll be using the Canon VF'er.

I had the 28/3.5 as a backup to my 28/2.8 Elmarit ll years ago. I loved the size, but it was "mushy".

My version seems to be sharp, but basically I only used it at two F-stops: F5.6, anf F8.0.

I kinda like the Canon VF'er, but the Leica SLOOZ has bright lines that might be an eventual upgrade, if I can find a chrome version.

Also the focus on my Canon/Serenar is kinda stiff, but this ended up being an asset because I basically zone focused.

BTW In your work I kinda love how close and tight you get with a 28.
