and you don't live near a local store to see it in person...

Show in the photo... E-P1 with the 14-42mm kit lens attached. Above it is the m4/3 Panasonic 45-200mm lens. Below it is the standard 4/3 25mm f/2.8 pancake with adaptor. Standard iPhone and common cordless phone to the left. Behind it is the Zeiss Ikon rangefinder film camera.

I went to the city yesterday, and in one of the camera shops, they had one in demonstration, it's certainly a real beauty, and it's going to be a huge success when the pro reviews confirm that the output image qualities are great ;-)

First, you want to put back the stainless steel rings on the ends of the strap (not the the leather triangles with the hole in each one). Put the leather protector over the lug -- so that the lug is sticking through the hole in leather protector -- then feed the ring through the lug.

Some one needs to snap a quick photo for Amy.

....err, should not that be - "IF the output image qualities are great"?....or is it another foregone conclusion!;)

Great comparison. The camera is wider than I thought.

I'm really looking forward to a version with a viewfinder (that's my preference).

I got it...

Sorry to make your head explode Scott... LOL... I'm glad I posted the picture though, or I probably never would have known (until the leather protectors were worn through).

Really, I'm actually an intelligent person, and I swear, I'm not blonde!

(BTW, photo taken with E-P1 in B&W mode at ISO 1250)

Thanks Pickett... it's a BEAUTIFUL camera... I bought it on ebay a few months back. I so wish Zeiss would make a digital (I know, blasphemy!)...

Dan, your description was just fine... I had it on the right way before Pickett posted his photo, so no worries :) -- you can see above (in the B&W Ikon photo), it's all fine now :)

Heh. It was a moment in which something I saw something I see every day in a totally different way. Correct or incorrect, I learned something too.

The Ikon is really beautiful. ISO 1250 is looking pretty good. I was initially a bit worried about the E-P1's 'high' low ISO, but this looks nice and crisp.

Back to twiddling thumbs while I wait for mine.
