...what kind of songs would they be?
Good morning everyone!
I always thought my pictures were a little bit like Johnny Cash. Melancholic, "old school" and calm. I prefer to shoot in black and white, I love autumn and winter and the way everything seems to be sleeping or lost in a way.
Yesterday my girlfriend said my photos are more like Depeche Mode to her. A little dark, structured, clear, strict but (gladly
) not boring.
So, what do you think what your picturs would sound like?

The best of them would be this - or something very like it or so I would hope. Brooding and contemplative.

Whatever
I think they'd probably be like Joni Mitchell's album 'Blue' -- sometimes brooding, sometimes joyful, sometimes wanting to run away, wanting to come closer, and on and on.

There is a London street photography video on Youtube that uses this great piece by Buckshot Lefonque
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QI6dxjxq4Fw
And here is the video which is great too. So no guessing which song that photographer (Ronya Galka) thinks is best. (With justification - it works well).

Then they would be great images, because Blue is one of the best albums ever.

People reactions would resemble that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. You know the one were everyone's face melts off

They'd be like Blood on the Tracks. Varied, tender, visceral, authentic, iconoclastic. Or then again, not.

My photos are like albums, which convey a palette of emotions better than a single song.
U2 - 'Boy'
The Cure - 'Faith' (or even 'Pornography')
Gavin Friday - 'Each man kills the thing he loves'
Or any Radiohead or Thom Yorke album, for that matter...

My photo-songs are not Grammy material, but they convey (to me) what I see happening around me.
