Looking though my photographs I realize that in whole they mostly resemble a commercial radio station. Mediocre, repetitive and annoying. But with some good stuff throwed in here and there.

There are a few songs I liken to photographs. Rarely the other way around. But if I had to categorize then, they'd be hard core gangsta rap.

I'm really sorry to say I have to agree with this. It sums up exactly how I feel about my photography.

Not sure what my photos actually convey, but I aspire to plaintive, soulful, hopeful -- like Van Morrison's Into the Mystic.

...what kind of songs would they be?
Good morning everyone!
I always thought my pictures were a little bit like Johnny Cash. Melancholic, "old school" and calm. I prefer to shoot in black and white, I love autumn and winter and the way everything seems to be sleeping or lost in a way.
Yesterday my girlfriend said my photos are more like Depeche Mode to her. A little dark, structured, clear, strict but (gladly) not boring.
So, what do you think what your picturs would sound like?

I like the thread title because I call my cameras as instruments.

Sometimes at lunch I hear in the background some disjointed, dull tones of a rambling radio host, actually paid to do this by the national radio network here. I'm afraid that's what my pictures will seem like to someone who'd rather listen to Fischer-Dieskau signing Schubert.
