I think what always gets lost in these kind of conversations is what is the best equipment to match the way we see and work. And how that equipment best suits each individual.

A 135mm focal length lens?
I would never bond with it, it is not my favourite focal length.
I tried to like that FL, bought 135mm lenses known for their legendary great bokeh , like the Zuiko 135/f2.8 and the Pentacon 135/2.8 lenses, yes fantastic bokeh no doubt about it, but the 135mm focal length is not suitable to the way I work.
I would never bond with it, it is not my favourite focal length.

I know I'm a dinosaur and this lens is exactly what the photographic world wants now, but I sure dislike the images in this review/advertisement. All except one of them were the same formula, with a face too sharp (every hair, pore and pimple, with crisp fingerprints on the glasses) and everything else too blurry. Just because a lens can produce a surrealistic freak show doesn't mean it should be used that way all the time. Where's the balance?

Yup, put together an auto radio signal scanner and a cheap solid state mini guitar amp and a rough coil of bare copper wire with some flashing Christmas tree lights and make videos in cemeteries, above ground burial vaults and charnel houses that claim you are picking up the voices of the dead.

Once you see the light, you can take a great photo with a holga. If you don't see it, also the greatest and latest fluff recommended by Mr. H won't bring you any further than potentially great technical image quality. All photos in his article are boring, at least in my personal book.
