Nope, not asking you to choose for me. I've looked and looked and keep coming back to these two options.

I like the color of blue but the hyped functionality of griptac also beckons.

Can anyone provide experience w either one on a IIIa? Or is there someone lurking at RFF who has tried both?

Many thanks.

Giorgio

i tried the royal? blue and the griptac.

griptac is industrial and practical and looks good too.

the slate is beautiful and showy...it will be noticed on the street...the griptac will never be noticed on it's own.

I put Griptac on a IIIc with hopeless vulcanite and it's great. I love the look of the slate blue and a few others but the Griptac just feels so good. On a small camera like the IIIc, if it's a user I want the Griptac, if it's a shelf queen then maybe something pretty, but that's just my choice. Joe

If the original vulcanite is fully intact I'd leave it be. If not the Griptac is best for a user camera..

Thanks, guys -- appreciate the quick responses. Guess I'll shelf my blue tropism and go griptac when the time comes.
