IIIB Question No Germany

Hello all.
I have A friend who wants to sell me his IIIb, and I noticed that the Germany is missing under Wetzlar and the bottom plate does not have Zu or Auf with open and close. Can anyone give more info on this model. 1937 IIIb

For "Germany" to be missing is not a problem. I have a IIIc that has it, and another one that doesn't. My II does not have it, either. But I don't know why auf and zu are missing.

I don't believe anyone ever made a fake IIIb, though! I think you are safe.
