IIIC Jammed

I tried to wind past the first 10 shots (roll was partly used), opened camera covered lens, wind, & shoot. About the 9th shot, the winder jammed. I've tried everything, even opened the back & sacrificed the roll (!?!*^%#!!!), but still jammed. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

press the little knob on the top ( which you normally just press when the counter is at zero). maybe that frees the winder.

Yeah, check that your frame counter isn't on 1. Push the button down next to the counter, then advance the counter with the slider on the back of the camera.
