IIIf repair

I recently bought a cosmetically excellent but mechanically dead IIIf Black Dial with a 50mm Elmar f/3.5 in amazing condition. Based upon the reviews of his service here, I chose to send the body off to Youxin Ye. He received the camera several days before New Years and had it CLA'd with a new set of shutter curtains and a new beamsplitter completed and mailed to me within three days even though there was absolutely no rush on the repair.
All that said, I just wanted to note here that his service is incredibly fast, inexpensive and of a very high quality. I can definitely recommend him for any Barnack repairs you all may need.

As a side note, do we have a thread of RF repair techs per-country and ratings on their performance? That might be a nice sticky either in each category of camera or on the main page. My $.02 USD.

I can't agree more with your assessment of Youxin's work, and customer service.

He is great. He's done CLA on IIIf and M2 for me. His turnaround is extremely quick. Both cameras needed further adjustments that aren't really his fault, and he did super quick job, even paid for the second round return shipping cost.

I'll send any battery-less Leicas to his way anytime.
