My IIIg came back from Youxin Ye today. I sent it to him on 6 or 7 Oct. He obviously got right on it and now its back. He did a thorough cleaning of both the camera and the Summarit. He also replaced the original covering which was so brittle as to be coming off in chunks. I thought his costs very reasonable and the camera is just immacualte. It was filthy when I sent it off. It had been kept in a leather case which is doing neither the lens nor the camera any favors.

Operation is smooth and I have a roll of color neg loaded and partly shot and what a fun old gal to use. My M7 is a bit quieter but not much. I do need to get a hood for the Old Summarit. That lens looked like an impossibility to make clear but it is now. Looks just great and even though there are some very minor scratches the coating looks intact.

Hope to get the first roll done tomorrow and that should tell the tale. John

I have a IIIc from 1949 that needs a full cla & shutter replaced. Could you tell me what he would charge for the camera & lens , or if you could let me know his email or phone number he sounds like he has a fast turn around time. Glad your camera came back like new.

I can give you Mr Ye's e-mail. wye7@yahoo.com
What he might charge I do not know. I had no parts replaced so I suspect that what you will need to pay will be more than I did. At less than $200 by a good bit, I thought his charges were extremely reasonable. He also will write back which I found refreshing after dealing with the guy in Wisconsin. I have no hesitation in recommending him. John
