Has any of you ever taken off the top plate of an Ikonta 35 to get at the viewfinder ? Mine is a bit too dusty for my taste although usable as it is.

What happens after you remove the two top screws on the top plate?

Can you easily get at the inside of the viewfinder ?

I'd like to know if there's any risk of little parts like springs, washers or pieces of glass falling off. Is the viewfinder one piece or an assembly ? Is it fiddly to get the top plate back on ?

Thanks for your help.

Nothing very complicated under the hood. There is a little round plastic plate on the right that will fall down when you take out the screw. Easy to put back. You will be able to access the back side of the viewfinder lenses easily for cleaning. The guts of the frame counter are under the bottom plate.
