Wow!

This past week I was enlightened that Ilford 127 film in 50' rolls can be ordered!!!

Yes! For the last few years, Ilford 127 film (Delta 100, FP4 and HP5+) has been made available by special order each Spring. It is based on worldwide demand and a minimum order. Details here from last year:

https://www.ilfordphoto.com/ulf-2017/

We ALL need to put this on a watch and not let the 2018 deadline slip past us!

It gives me enough time to start a "slush fund"/piggy bank just for ordering several rolls. If I can do it, anyone can!:)

"Get in the groove and let the good times roll!"

So, here we go! The 127 film train is due in the station in a few months.
How about you guys?:)

Got a 127 film camera? Time to get moving and shooting with Spring straight ahead!:D

Dave,

I think PhotoWarehouse maintains some stock of these once a year special order films. Some are still leftover stock. Check their website.

For me it is 70mm double perf for loading Linhof CINE's. Also sheet film sizes.

Good luck.

I intend to order a few 50' rolls of 70mm type II perfed HP5+. It works up to about the same price as 120 prepackaged HP5+ film. The advantage is photo firepower (15 ft roll in Hasselblad).

Remember though you won't receive the film until Fall 2018 time frame.

Other than this my freezer is fully loaded.

You know, I have a little time now and then and I tried to read through the 70mm thread over the weekend, but didn't finish. It has me thinking about a lot of things for the Hassy!:D

Thanks for the opportunity to dream again!

Dave,

70mm backs for a Blad are priced around $50.00. Firepower means not loosing shots to cronic reloading.

Also Rollie 400S is available for no money from MacoDirect in Germany.

Dave,

Be patient. Mucho info on Dan's 70mm thread. Also have seen Blad 70mm backs for as cheap as $40.00.

If you bulk up on Rollie 400S I figure the cost per 120 equiv is about $3.00 a roll. This makes film pricing like about 5 years ago: the good old days.

Thanks, Cal, I will be doing some reading on the thread tonight.:)

That's a pity as the shutter speeds available on my elderly cameras means the slower the better...

I agree completely. The 4x4 TLR cameras and the Komaflex SLR are the exceptions, but weren't the vast majority of 127 cameras simple rotary shutters with slow shutter speeds like 1/15th or 1/30th? My Vest Pocket Kodak or my Imperial Satellite would need heavy overcast weather to shoot with ASA 400 film.

How about some Delta 100 please?

Consider an ND8 filter.
