Ilford FP400+ and Ilford Delta100

I'm about to start using Delta 100, having used FP4 and then FP4+ on and off for years. I like HP5 in Perceptol at 200 as it gives a finer grain yet classic look compared to FP4plus in either Xtol or DDX.

So that brings me to Delta 100 in an attempt to get a sharper film (35mm) that would be suitable for landscapes. In terms of developers I have Rodinal. DDX, Xtol, Ilfosol 3 and FX39 available. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on which one to start with. I'm wanting a combination that could handle strong sunlight without looking too contrasty.

I have not tried Delta 100 yet, but Delta 400 is gorgeous in Tmax Developer. DDX is a similar developer; if I were you I would try it first.

These were both shot on 35mm Delta 400, developed in Tmax Developer.

Very impressive, you've now got me wondering about trying D400, just when I'd thought was settled on HP5. No doubt I'll try it later this year although I'm still trying out Bergger Pancro 400 ( which so far seems excellent).....

I keep on telling myself to keep it simple but I'm always reading about all the other wonderful combinations to try.... nice to have choice!
