Ilford HP5+

Thanks! It was the first film I used in my zorky 4k, bought here and this ones were with the jupiter-8!

I'm forgetting to put all the important info!

Developed with T-Max 1+4, at 20º C. I did the "normal" agitation that ilford recomends: first 10s 7 (it's 4, but I had a few) inversions and 4 each minute, 6.30 in total. Ilford stop bath - 30s and ilford rapid fixer for 6m (it was the forth use of that fixer), first 5m normal agitation and the last one I didn't agitate. 20m of washing with running water!

Good stuff, this developer gives good speed, not bad acutance and some nice tonality. You might as well continue for a while with this combo. Try to shoot at various EI, especially something around 200-250, and then develop the same way and see how you like it. Next time you could shorten the dev time 10% and compare contrast and grain, then increase 10% and do the same, etc..

HP5+ is my favorite (personal comparisons mainly vs. TriX), but am in early steps still and never developed any film, only scanned. anyway, next batch to fridge comes from Ilford :)

jarski, the hp5 it was my first developed film, since it was the film that a collegue of mine, when he was giving the workshop of developing b&w film (and printing also), told us to buy! So I began with it!
