Hi All,
I hope this is the correct place for this thread...
Has anyone got any experience with Ilford Lab scanning of 35mm black and white negs? (http://www.ilfordlab.com/).
They are expensive, but maybe they do a better job than most?
If anyone has any examples of their high res scans that i could see I'd be really pleased to be able to check them out.

It seems quite expensive...results should be excellent...curious to know any comment from photographers who tried it.

It does seem expensive. I do all mine at home but I'm asking on someone else's behalf (who has more money than me!)... Still, if it's good it's good.
I had a brainwave and emailed them direct. Somebody there has agreed to send a sample file -- I'll post it here when it arrives

I've done it a couple of time and I find the result excellent (at least compared to what my local lab has done with my last batch of negs, I coul have obtained a better result with my non-photographic scanner).

The sample above looks very clean (no dust spots or scratches).
If part of their service is removal of dust spots (on silver B&W negatives), that would be worth the price.
