Ilford MG paper developer ?

I have about 200ml of this concentrated chemical left in its 500ml container stored and tightly capped for the past 3 months. When I opened it today to make a fresh working solution it has turned dark. Is this an indication that it is no longer good?

Ilford MG (MultiGrade) Developer is a developer for Ilford RC paper. It does turn dark with age. It is highly concentrated, and is diluted with quite a lot of water to make a tray solution. If you are going to use it to make prints on RC paper, it probablly will be just fine, unless it is black. When mixed in a solution suitable for tray processing of RC prints, it should be even when dark in concentration, when duiluted a fairly light brown. Kodak's Dektol does this darkening bit also, and unlike film developers, it still functions quite well, unless it actually goes black in concentrated liquid form.

This is false economy if you're interested in quality prints.
