Hi guys,
Got a few rolls of Ilford Pan 400 very cheap. There is not much information on the net about them, they seem to be sold in Eastern Europe mostly (got mine whilst on a trip to Poland).
I am thinking to shoot one of this and see how it performs. Does anyone have any developing times for HC-110 or Rodinal? (these are the only developers i have).
If you have any pictures taken on Pan 400, please post them to see.
Regards,
Pan

I got a brick of this stuff cheap from Asia where I think it's also readily sold, recently finished a roll of it. With any luck it should be a very nice emulsion similar to Neopan400. I heard it can be a bit grainier than TMAX400 / Delta400.

I use this emulsion regularly as it is cheap .
treat it as HP5.
I like it in RODINAL 1+50 14"

I'm scanning a roll right now. I've shot about 10 rolls so far (from a 100ft roll). I heard that it was just the older formula of HP5 (without the +).
Here are some examples in ID11 but the ones I'm scanning were in HC-110 (check the massive dev chart for times).
UPDATE: There seems to be much more grain with HC-110

Jupiter 8 on Nikon S3 not much help on developer: Harvey 777 not common.
No issues on the film, Ilford/Harman sell it in "selected markets" which doesn't include home turf but you can buy it here , as a re-import!!

Times for your developers are listed there.
The Pan films are sold in countries where the Ilford brand doesn't have a strong implementation as a cheaper alternative to FP4+/HP5+.
They have unique qualities and you can find them here in the UK.
They sell for about £3.50 a roll.

Almost everything on my blog / flickr from the past 6 years is either Tri-x or Pan400. I made the switch to use pan 400 exclusively about 2 years ago. Love it. Cheap, fool proof and pushes well.

I love the film! Shooting Pan 100 and Pan 400 has never disappointed, it doesn't even deserve the label of being a "budget" emulsion.

I've shot quite a bit of Pan 100 and 400. I dev in hc110 dil b and am very happy.
Dev times are same as fp4 and hp5 and to me, results look very similar.
