Ilford Rapid fix

For years now I have been using TF4 alkaline fix for film. I have noticed
silver particles precipitate out within 48 hours and stick to the next film, really bad stick to the point where they need to be abraded off while wet, impossible when dry.

TF4 is used up now and requires shipping so I purchased some Ilford Rapid fix. Film was developed 3 months ago and the fix sat in a covered beaker.
Went to do more yesterday, and no precipitate so I tested it with film leader and it cleared fast and I developed two rolls without problems. Spotless film.

Is there a powder fix that works with T Max film?

Powder fixers are sodium thiosulfate which is stable as a powder. Rapid fixers are based on ammonium thiosulfate which is not very stable as powder; dry ammonium thiosulfate decomposes to ammonium sulfite and sulfur. You really need ammonium thiosulfate "rapid" fix for TMax films; they have the highest iodide content of any available photographic films, and even with ammonium thiosulfate fixers need extended fixing.

I use the Ilford Rapid Fixer many years.
I filter all my chemicals before each use.
It lasts well, in a closed bottle, glass only.
I do notice a deposit that lands on bottom.
I throw away bottles when i mix new fixer.
I use 2 Fixers for my negatives.
First for clearing, check with leaders.
Second make sure well fixed but not "over" fixed.
T-Max seems to "eat" fixers, needing longer times and lasting much less.
T-Max a beautiful film but somehow looks "digital".
Preference to rougher look in my images.
I mainly use Ilford HP5+, Kentmere 100,400 and Ilford Pan-400.

What is the shelf life of Ilford Rapid fixer
A) in an unopened bottle
B) in an opened bottle and 80 degrees F
C) after mixing 1+9 with distilled water

Why glass only for storage?
