Leica LTM Im about to buy a Leica-maybe

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
I bought an SBOOI several months ago, but only just won a matching lens this evening (classic Elmar f/2.8). The M4 has an excellent 50 brightline, but nothing can compare to a 1x external VF!

So you have a Bessa R!! I think its a great camera and have one too.

In that case I still say go for a Ic to go with the Bessa.

You would have a great Leica and a very different photo experience from the Bessa. Its beautifully compact, but you do need that extra finder and that slows down taking photos. But what the heck!!

Do try the IIf if you can but my comment on setting the top speed dial still holds. Frankly I find it quite difficult because of the sync ring sitting below it. Try any of the f versions and see if you agree.

KEH equipment is almost always in better condition than you expect. I got my IIIF from them with a BGN Summitar 5cm 2.0. The lens looks almost new. It only has a little focussing stifness in part of the range.

The body was EX. and externally doesn't look more than a couple of years old.

ENJOY!

Weird stuff:
So on Sunday KEH emailed me that my camera had been sold to someone else. OK, cancel my order and I'll look for something else. Right? Wrong. Yesterday I get an emailing telling me that my package of 1.5 pounds has been shipped and expect it in 2 days. So now Im waiting patiently for the mystery package to arrive from KEH.

I have both a IIIa and an M3. I like them both equally, but the thing about the M3 that really makes it superior is the shutter. It's smooth as silk. The optics on both are about equal, with the IIIa's SBOOI finder, and the focusing on the IIIa is actually a little easier with the 1.5 magnification. I see them as interchangeable, but if I'm in a situation where a quiet shutter is important, I'll use the M3.

Its not my IIIc, I just wanted to show that the VC lens merits its success in Japan, that's it. I am sorry, I don't know what kind of strap it is. Here is the link to the original thread where that nice outfit photo comes from http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=009Cdl

Oh, I see. Well, since you posted it without any credits, we just assumed...
