This just ahs to be my lucky day, i found everything i need to know for now, i'm not goin to lie, i'm still a beginner, my own camera was a sure shot(cannon).Automatic camera suck, but they r just usefull, handy and fast but as i grew more fond of photography i needed more quality, more control, and more options..Turning around i found my father's fed-2 http://www.geocities.com/fzorkis/fed2_11.html

My father bought it earlier in the beginning of the sixties once it was available, it's charming...
I found my self fond of it, yet i don't have much experience with such a camera, it's a different level (considering that i used an automatic cam)

I know that probably i'm not making full use of it, but i know its quality.

Generally i'm still learning..

Welcome aboard!!! If you're like the rest of us, you'll have a shelf full of cameras in a little while. Since you started with a Russian model, you're already in trouble. They're the cheapest and therefore most addictive of the lot! There's no turning back now!! :D

The Cap definately knows what he's talking about there nomade. If you've already held a piece of Russian Iron in your sweatly little fingers and pulled the trigger, hey, you're addicted. You might as well just go with it and enjoy the ride. "I bought a Zorki just to get the lens." (famous last words you'll read over and over again here.) Well it's true and so far, 5 other FSUs and a little Kodak folder have followed... and I sold the camera I bought the lens for. :p

We're all on a perpetual learning journey, so you'll fit right in fine. So press on, nomade, press on.

you're not stuck with FSU's forever.. you'll soon move on to a Canonet and maybe a Yashica GSN.. then start eyeing up The Camera.. probably a M3, or maybe a M2. Then there is medium format, which is a whole 'nother ball of wax

there's no 12-Step program for our group, tho.. Just one.. "Hi, I'm JoeFriday and I'm a camera junkie and I don't care!" he he he
