I'm also returning to Bessa!

Few days ago I've got some money and was intending to put it aside.
But.... 🙂 ....before I've went to the bank I fired up my PC to check mail, and the devil got me.... I've stumbled on the nelson photo forum classifieds section where little black Bessa T with beautiful shiny Summarit 50/1.5 waited for me.
As I've never really got over my R3A and classy Ultron 35... It was an IMPULSE, a strong one!

And I think I've got it for a good price (265$ for Bessa,Summarit, M adapter and shipping) just the amount I had in pocket. 🙂

I was thinking to get the hood but I'm unsure which one especially cause the weird thread of 41mm. I'm inclining towards heavystar vented and tilted hood but they are 40.5mm and I'm unsure will it intrude finder (T has finder closer to the lens)?!

There's one more dilemma, framing. As I'm eyeglass wearer I'm heaving problems with all cameras from Bessa's to Nikon high eyepoint finders.
I'll probably try to bend some wire in a shape of Ikodot to see how that's working and train my mental framing. Does anyone have any suggestion?

I'm now waiting impatiently!

You really need a 50mm brightline finder on the Bessa-T. That's the ticket.

Pickett I'm really unsure about brightline, they sound great but I'm skeptical how will they satisfy me in real life and I'm not eager on giving half camera+lens price for one. 🙂

There's the sportsfinder for the Kodak Retinas from time to time they pop up on the bay for a reasonable price.....but "mental framing" sounds like a good concept.
on the other hand not being a native speaker of In English I am not sure if "mental" is the right message.

A 50mm brightline finder is a wonderful thing. I struggled with glasses for years and the 50 B/L is a joy with both eyes open. Frame my world and still see outside the frame. I like sports finders too - esp. on my Speed Graphics!

Look for an original Voigtlander Kontur finder, the 35mm one, once you are used to it, its superb! It is marked 35mm, means the format size not the focal length.!!

One thing you have to watch with them is not to leave them face down in the sun, the eyepiece acts like a burning glass and destroys the front plate. Found by bitter experience!!:bang:

hey nikola i just saw this thread - i dont know how i missed it in a first place... congrats on your new camera - did you have a chance to try it out? i have summarit and i know you will enjoy lens - it doesnt have such a good reputation but it really is great lens.
