I'm done, and I'm happy with the gear that I have, but sometimes something comes along, like on Craigslist, and I can't help myself. The seller said that he wasn't in it for the most money possible, he just wanted to find a good home for it. I've promised to send him a print made with this new camera.

$100

I thought I was done as well, as I have 3 new (new to me) cameras to learn to use. Then last night I was rummaging around in a box of odds and ends and discovered a couple rolls of 120 film that was developed but never printed or scanned. So I fired up the scanner and BOOM what wonderful photos!!! They were pictures taken with my old Fuji G690 (sold long ago), now must find a Fuji GW690. Will this madness never end???

I have what I need. However there are so many beautiful cameras and lenses out there, I´m tempted each time I see any old picture of any old camera. Same goes for watches, knives, Land Rovers, Fiats and other things of beauty. Luckily I´m poor, otherwise I´d be even poorer.

I think one appreciates these things more when one is poor. In my younger days, when I wanted something I would work silly to make the money to buy it. I am sure the fun would not be there if I was rich and could just buy anything I liked. I am not rich even now at much older age. But then I do not have many hobbies. My cameras are good but not too expensive.

It's a pity we don't have something like craigslist here. We just have ... well... the "BAY".

There's not much risk in experimenting or having some GAS fun with relatively low cost items - like the $100 Mamiya. For seriously expensive gear, more planning is required.

As long as one still has one finger, one eye and two legs...it's going to be hard to stop ;-)

There is one good-looking Leica CL with M-Rokkor 40mm on a local classified here in Bangkok. I know that I can't possibly need another M-system body...but oh well...

Not looking is NOT Self Control.....

Not looking is NOT Self Control.....

Self Control is Looking, Enjoying and Not Buying!!

I love to look at pretty ladies, but I have been done with them for almost a decade. I can even talk with them, but I am not intrigued.

Now... to do that with cameras and cars.??????

Thats a great price. I've just spent $800 buying several bodies, a lense and ,a bunch of backs and cutfilm holders. I now have a great Mamiya Press camera kit. I bought my first 12 years ago and just keep adding on backs and other accessories as they become available. Hope you enjoy your find.
