I'm having trouble posting pictures from Flickr to the forum...

Like Olsen, I've had a lot of trouble linking to photos on sites other than Flickr. I don't do Flickr so have just abstained from posting anything. Will give the above directions a try and see if it works. I have a few shots from my 70s wanderings on the Indiamike site lets see if this one from the Kabul bazaar makes it.

Yep! That's what I usually get.... <img> and NO photo. What's the matter didn't I give the secret hand shake?

Another try but using a photo from this site and not hitting preview post which doesn't show a photo anyway....

Edit...... That didn't work either, I'm jinxed on this site, I give up.

what a pain in the arse posting pics here! Mods, any chance you can adopt the same system as Fred Miranda has? a no brainer to post pics on that site 😀

I don't understand the problem. From Flickr it's literally about 4 clicks to post here:

1. At Flickr, Right-click on the image and select the size.
2. When the image appears right-click on the image and select Copy Image Location.
3. In an RFF new post, click the image icon at the top of the editing window.
3. Insert your cursor in the pop-up that appears and paste the image location URL from step 2.
4. Submit the post.

Three clicks from RFF gallery:

NOTE: if posting from Flickr, you have to use an image that has its permission set to viewable by anyone.
