That is nice ...

... and don't worry Earl Leica aren't that far away from your wish. They seem to be heading in a 'Benetton' direction with their marketing and attitude! :p

ROTFLMAO!!!!

In spite of my (almost) commitment to get a ZI, I think I'll also be looking for a Barnack, either brassed or one that's a bit beat and have it repainted in glorious black.

If this camera has a Leica type shutter, I wonder if KMZ got the idea of putting the slow shutter speeds on the high speed dial,
like what is on the Zorki 3M, from this italian beauty.

You should be proud, all the best looking stuff is from your area. Here are my old cars:

I loved those cars; over 200,500 miles on those two.

Honus, I drove mine for 26 years. And just couldn't sell it, so I gave it to my son,(his wife was mad) and now I drive it when I visit. Unfortunately, I volunteered to pay for repairs. But it is still worth it.

You live in the Bay Area, I think, I would like to see your Alfa.

The Janua is beautiful... and the extinction meter under the viewfinder is a marvelous touch!

If you've never seen one, an extinction meter is a graded series of increasingly dense partially-transparent spots (or, here, numbers) on a little piece of film. The brightness of the light will determine which is the dimmest spot you can see. (Have I got that right?)

ok...thank you...you drove me to this...almost same year of the Janua camera (the original "model one" is from 1946). From Genoa too.
This is from the sixties.
Genoa is still full of vespas (Genoa is very hilly, I am one of the few genoeses to commute by bycicle), although, in recent years the japan mega scooters are ruling the town.
So my city is famous for:
1. Columbus
2.Vespa
3. Genoa Cricket and football Club....I'm an huge football fan....forgive me...

I wish I had a picture of my '58 Vespa (the wasp). Baby blue just like that one. My son crashed it, he is OK from the crash. But..........
