This was something that you saw and felt you had to photograph. If we don't do that sort of thing we will never progress as photographers. Quite frankly it doesn't matter what any of us think about the result - you haven't, I presume, taken it for us but for yourself. That subsequently you find yourself posting the colour version says to me that you are still wondering and thinking and that you know you have something there, but it hasn't quite come off for you. However neither you nor the lighting will ever be the same and you can never take the photo again.
