images: fuji 14/2.8

One of my most favorite lenses when I was working for a newspaper was a Tokina 12-24mm DX zoom on my Nikon D2H bodies. These pics make me want to get something that wide again in a prime! Thanks for giving me a touch of GAS!!!!

Just posted a few shots of the Volcanoes National Park at night with my X-T1 and 23mm. The 14mm was better suited for capturing a wider perspective or a HUGE natural feature.

Fog rolling in right after moonrise. This was kind of scary as we were 30 feet from a sheer cliff/300 ft drop, and the fog was rendering our headlamps useless. My last shot of the night. Fuji X-T1, 14mm f/2.8. ISO 1000, f/4, 30 sec.

Thanks fellas! The X system's colors and less blotching in the shadow detail at insanely high ISO definitely made these shots possible; going from a glowing red steam column to a dark, starry night sky took a crazy amount of dynamic range. Between taking the first shot wide open to the DR, these were a torture test of the camera + lens. I was very impressed with what I walked away with.

Honozooloo; your great control of this wonderful camera, as use of this outstanding lens is totally remarkable. Your effort for the finished product is "tops"
 
Opposite of your fruit stand, west coast and color but still the Fuji 14 - this was somewhere in California between Kings Canyon National Park and Yosemite National Park.

I had posted mine in color but after processing B&W preferred it in B&W. The 14 is a fun lens to use. It is a new one for me. I have used 21mm FL before on 35 and full frame but never very much.
Thanks for sharing this one. I've been through northern California but I have yet to get to Yosemite.
 
If you enjoy nature, Yosemite is unbelievable. I went last Summer, my wife had been before as a child and was talking it up quite a bit before our trip. She was afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype...well it for sure exceeded my expectations. I'd go back again in a heartbeat.

Romi:, While searching around for some Fuji 14mm inspiration I came across your contributions. Good stuff!
Your pic of the Aria in Las Vegas in particular: well seen, well organized---Well done!
With any lens, particularly an UWA, the trick is figuring out where to stand...judging by your 14mm work, it looks like you have done so.

btw, as it happens, I stayed at the Aria last month. Don't generally like LV but Mrs. Canyongazer likes to go for the restaurants.
The Aria is a visual treat, inside and out.
