Didn't realize that lens was out, yet.

Mine was the last of the stock from the first shipment at michaels camera melbourne. It is out, just in trickles.
I will say as a 35mm lens afficionado that it might be one of the best 35mm equivalent lenses I have ever used. Optically near flawless, very gentle rendering, perfect size and weight on the x-pro1, and build quality and feel is just lovely. I dont use the lens hood, just a UV filter, and it is very flare resistant.
If anyone is on the fence about this lens, get it.

I'm very interested in this lens and am looking forward to the pictures to come in this thread. At the moment finances mean either getting this lens or a second body, as a X100 owner the second body may be a better buy for me right now. Though I'm curious about the future of the line up so will hold fire and make do for a while yet.
The first shot is interesting in terms of lens character, it looks like a nice smooth transition from point of focus to blurred...if that makes much sense!?
Good to hear its resistant to flare because the lens hood is a bit of a monster for a 35mm lens.

Indeed, I am finding the transition from in to out of focus to be exceptionally gentle and smooth with this lens. It is extremely sharp without being harsh and the overall character is wonderful. Very happy. More photos to come!

Good to hear. I only wish it had been introduced w/the X-Pro from the get-go (I don't think it would really have cannibalized many X100/X100s sales).

at f4. The way this lens flares into heavy backlight has me giddy.

Reconnected.
I really am anxious to get my hands on this lens. It's tough to source here in the US it would seem for now but I'm trying to call in some favors

Mine should be delivered today
. Pre-order from B&H last week, so it didn't take all that long. Will post an image or two later today.

Pretty nice look for APS-C. Fuji is the only company who seems really committed to the format.

I'm liking the lens so far, although I've not taken many shots with it. Here is one at home with my kids.
