Impossibly Slim

I hate these types of threads ... it makes me feel guilty for finding fault with the manufacturers choice of focal length! 😀

I mean ... if it's good enough for our man Daido how can I possibly complain because I love that man's work done with this camera. 😛

I have the accessory hood for mine and it looks very sexy. 🙂
 
I think Mr. Moriyama can shoot with a sardine can pinhole and still produce artistic prints. I remember seeing him mix chemicals with his bare hands in one of the youtube video 🙂

But having said that, I think by choosing the GR1, he seems to try to put as little distance between him and his subjects.
 
The GR renders just beautifully.

Now I´m waiting for a 28mm module for my GXR! (Yes, digital arrived and I dont feel going back to film again...)
 
Well, I'm embarrassed and a little intrigued. I was about to reply that this was the most film-like set of digital pictures I'd ever seen (your comment about a "bleeding LCD" made me think it was one of the little Ricoh digitals).

Embarrassing because they are film photos!

It's intriguing because there's been so much discussion about 35mm film vs. smaller-sensor digital and whether they're looking the same these days. I took a few guesses on some example photos in another thread, and did (only) OK guessing which is which. I figured most people (myself included) would do little/no better than chance. But this time, in this thread, I thought it was digital, and felt it looked very much like film. So, what does that say?

Anyway, really nice results from that pocketable 35mm camera. Love it!
