(In?)Compatability: Leica IIIf RD and CV 21/4 Color-Skopar

Hello,

does anyone have experience with the compatability of the CV 21/4.0 Color-Skopar and a Leica IIIf RD.

After mounting and unmounting of the lens I noticed that some paint is missing at the light baffles where the lens may have hit it. 😱
(I am not 100% sure if the paint was undamaged before.)

Maybe I should have been more careful since the last degrees of screwing in were a bit rought. :bang:

Do you know If I damaged the light baffles paint with the lens or is it more likely that the paint was already gone before for different reasons?

(Neither my Leica III, nor my bottom loading Canon RF seem to have such a light baffle which is maybe reaching in the way of the mounted CV 21/4 lens.)

I used this combo and no problem at all. Maybe you need just be careful when put the lens on the body.

I measured the CV 21/4.0 with a caliper, compared it with the Leica's Summitar and found out, that the CV is not more demanding than the Summitar regarding the light baffles in the Leica IIIf.

So the cause for the lost of paint must have been something different.
