There are a number of Myanmar picture threads at RFF already, notably the one from Michael and also Andreas submitted a very nice selection of photos recently.
My wife and I went on a trip to Myanmar recently in early December and I took my Leica M6 including the Summicron 35 and the Jupiter-8 with me. We went along a quite common trip, starting in Yangon where we met a friend and explored the city a little bit. Then, we went by train to Bagan for a few days, traveled afterwards to Mandalay and Inle Lake, and finally spent some remaining days at the beachside in Ngwe Saung. This time, and quite unusual for me, I took a lot of color photos. It was only when I run out of the Porta 400 films, that I switched to black and white films.
Overall, it was a great journey and we met very friendly people all around. I certainly took more pictures of people than in any other country in the Southeast-Asian region before...
