I had heard that CRR in Luton were very good and now I have experienced it. the "new" M6 had sticky framelines in that the third set would not apear. I spoke to CRR who were extremly helpful and quoted a very reasonable sum to fix it. There website generally quotes that they will not accept repiars for up to 3 months as they are busy. So I asked if I should "book" it in and send it when required as I could use the camera in the meantime. Oh no they said, it is only a small job and it could be "fitted in " around the full overhauls etc. I sent the camera off and thought to ring them in a week to get a progress report as I was diue on the boat and wanted to take it. No need, in less than a week it was was back with me (including mail both ways!) with an invoice to send the payment.

If you are in the UK or Europe, you may be able to get Leica repairs slightly cheaper but the service and quality of work from CRR is second to none.

As per Kim's post, I am very pleased with the service I've had from Peter at CRR.

The high speeds on my M6 were off and Peter has fixed the problem, given the camera a good service and sent it back to me beautifully packed in less than a week.

He's great to deal with [just ring him, you always get an answer] and I would definitley use him again. He really knows what he's doing.

They're also very good for the odd accessory, either from their website or on their eBay store. I've picked up the odd thing for my Olympus 35RC & Trip35 from there - very quick service, reasonable postage.
