In praise of Lomo 800

I like what little I have shot but at $20 a roll Lomo 800 film is a bit steep when I can get Fuji 400 for around $8. Even Portra 800, though expensive, costs less.

the rebranding makes it cost more for some reason... like flic film.. all kodak films... and FPP all rebranded and twice as much as the original labelled product.

Ah well, I guess for some the Lomo brand has a special cachet while plain old Kodak is just old-fashioned.

Color film is expensive, for sure. Question is, would you rather see Lomo 800 discontinued/unavailable or have it as an expensive option?

It is a nice film, I still have a few rolls in 120 format.
