Well-known
I've bought one of the new Samsung "Pro" series SD cards and tested it against the cards I own (Sandisk Extreme Pro, Lexar 400x, 600x and Transcend 200x).
Using the A7 for a full buffer clear test, the Samsung SDXC (rated as 90mb/s read and 80mb/s write) cleared 29 RAW+Jpegs in about 19.5 seconds on average, some 20-25% faster than the Sandisk extreme pro (rated as 90mb/s read and 95mb/s write) , which took ~25 seconds. The other cards were all slower.
Sequential read speeds matched at around 80mb/s between the Samsung and Sandisk. Considering that the Sandisk is over twice as expensive per gigabyte, I'd say that the Samsung Pro is a no-brainer. I've never particularly cared about Samsung as a company, but they've really impressed me this time.
What remains to be seen is how durable it will be after a few years, though...
