Incorrect ISO Indicator ~ Hexar AF

Uh, hi. I find that my silver Hexar AF sometimes displays the wrong ISO when I load a new roll. Does any one have any experience with this kind of misreading? The consequences seem dire, as it meters for that setting (usually 100). The only way I know to reset it is to yank the film out and reload it. What the bleep is this?
