Historically, I've had the WORST luck trying to shoot fireworks! Mostly smoke and blur. I about gave up but FINALLY last year I did get a few semi decent ones.

I didn't try this year. No particular reason, just didn't. The kids in the neighborhood did put on a good informal show, for a couple of nights it sounded like a WWII commando raid out there! Where I live (outside of the city line) fireworks are legal 24x7x365.

I did. I posted three. Then I decided to post links to them instead. So I removed them. Couldn't get that to work (because https?), so I deleted them, then reposted the thumbnails again. They showed up in preview but didn't didn't show up after I re-uploaded. When I tried again, it said they were already uploaded. Where's the number for tech support!
 
I've had great luck from Flickr just using their auto-bbcode generator and editing it slightly.
 
Here's a couple of screenshots I made to show some people on another board when they were having trouble. Use the curvy "share" arrow, select bbcode, select the text, paste and edit if you want ...

The bottom one is what I get when I fake it out with the image you just tried to post.

Ah -- thanks! I'll try it. There are "bad hair days"... and I also think there's a technical equivalent of this, now experiencing. I can't delete the other "Independence Day" post I started. Where'd that delete key go? Am I going crazy? Ahhh... they deleted the delete key while I wasn't looking! So there are two Independence Day threads I started. Then I tried to post pics already posted -- wouldn't let me do it, then it wouldn't display the Flickr "share" link. etc., etc., etc... I'll give this a go. Thanks, again.
