Recently someone gave me a black 50 which I am quite certain is an Industar 50 in Leica Screw Mount.

Any users out there that have used one of these? I'll get out there and test it but wanted to here some comments from others.

Thanks in advance!

It has a Tessar formula and it's not a wonderful lens, but it does its job correctly. I never complained about it, and it's the same as the collapsible Industar-22. 2 bad points for me : f/3.5 and a design that is not fantastic or innovative.

I son't have the model that you have. I have the collapsible 50/3.5. Nice little lens. I'm gonna use it for some experimental photography on my R-D1 because it's a nice "slow" lens ( http://shardsofphotography.blogspot.com/2006/02/creative-with-light.html ). I find it very useful lens, too; the collapsible that is. It looks fab on the FED-2 and makes for a very small package. The resulting images from this lens are fine: not overly contrasty like the I-61 but also not butter smooth like the J8. Nice lens, though a little slow (which for once is a good thing for me 🙂 ).
