Well, I finally saw this magazine at a store today.

Lee was fired after this or was it that he was leaving anyway?
Whatever it was we may never know.

It would be so irresponsible to misquote someone after an interview.

From what I know, the M8 uses Kodak's KAF-10500 CCD.
Kodak also makes a bunch of full frame sensors

I don't see why Kodak couldn't provide one for Leica?
With enough time, it shouldn't be impossible.

For the average layman, an answer saying it's impossible would be believable.

There has been lots of discussion on the technical issues of this, which you can probably find if you search the forum. But essentially, there is no problem with Kodak (or someone else) suppling a sensor, the problem is that current ones don't work properly if the rear element of the lens is too close (as it is with rangefinder), because the angle of incidence of the light at the edges of the frame is too oblique for the sensor to detect it.

Oh? Do share :)
You must remember that semi-nude model rising out of the pool!

Looked like slow slide film, polariser and flash fill; ever so politically incorrect! or am I showing my age here
