Hello,
I have seen similiar posts of people having this problem before but did not see an answer to this question.
I just purchased a Leica M8 (formerly was using the Epson RD1s). I didnt notice it in the past but when i turn to infinity the image doesnt align to where i'm focusing and i have to turn the focus back ever so slightly to have it align.
I believe its the lense, because when i put it back on my Epson i think i saw the same problem. Its much harder to see though b/c the Leica M8 is so much easier to focus.
I will probably bring my lense 50mm f1.4 back to the Leica dealer, but for the time being. When focusing in infinity should i go all the way even though it doesnt align or make sure the focus is aligned? and will this effect my shots at a shorter distance?
thanks in advance for any help as i am new to this.

Hi Dan,
I'm happy to report that there is a fairly easy fix. Rather than repeating everything, I'll simply direct you to this thread on the Leica Users Forum:
http://www.leica-camera-user.com/digital-forum/13933-new-backfocus-thread-solution.html?highlight=cam
I should add that further down the thread there are photos to help you out, and I have used the described fix and achieved excellent results.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Tony C.
