I just read all the gordy coale' speedgraphic post and replies. I am a new member and for some reason am not allowed to reply to others' posts yet. I have several speed graphics which I use with various lenses. I do this with only one set of infinity stops per camera. I do this by making index marks on the focusing track and front standard. To calibrate each lens to the existing infinity stop, I first set the focusing track pointer to the infinity mark on the focuing scale.Then, using the ground glass to determine when the image is in focus, I slide the front standard along the focusing track until the image is focused and lock the standard. This is different from the usual step of sliding the front standard as far out on the track until it touches the preset stops. I use a fine point permanent marker to index the front edge of the front standard relative to the focusing track, This is the equivalent to an infinity stop. I also note which lens this pertains to. The marks can be removed later with a small amount of solvent. The technique works if you set the permanent infinity stops for the longest focal length lens being used

do you have a shorter handle (name), something like Bob or Ted, alot of typing!
That is good info on your technique, I always used the ground glass for focusing, never the RF, I'll have to try your technique when I refurbish my speed graphic!

What models of the Speed Graphic and what lenses? What kind of pictures?
My Speed Graphic project got sidetracked by Christmas, the arrival of my son-in-law, William, New Years Eve (from Iraq), and the arrival of my 5x7 Burke & James. William left this morning to return to Ramadi, scheduled to return in August. Hope to get back to the Speed Graphic soon.
