I think it might be useful to form lists of data concerning these folders...by make.

For example, a thread for Agfa (alphebetical) lens sizes, push on and internal

Certo Six etc...including sources if available.

Filter sizes, etc.

Stuff is really not all that available, for some reason.

Let's try this again...

Listing medium format folders to begin with, from current cameras and those I can think of (lots of them).

Feel free to ad and edit as needed.

Might be best to keep alphabetical.

Just copy, add info and edit, then past as new posting.

Blank = no data.

Since I like using Series filters on my older medium format cameras, I've had occasion to measure the required adapter sizes for most of them. Among the folders, I can report these measurements:

Agfa Record III
105mm Solinar 4.5 - 36.9mm
(synchro compur)

Ansco Speedex 4.5 Special with Uncoupled Rangefinder
85mm Solinar 4.5 - 30.0mm
(synchro compur)

Kodak Monitor 620
101mm Anastigmat Special 4.5 - 33 mm
(flash suprematic)

Kodak Tourist I
101mm Anastar 4.5 - 33mm
(synchro-rapid 800)

Voigtlander Bessa (pre-war?)
10.5cm Anastigmat Voigtar 6.3 - 31.4mm
(note: there is a lip on the lens ring which may interfere with press on filters somewhat)

Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 6x9 (524/2)
105mm Opton T Tessar 3.5 - 40.5mm
(synchro compur)

With so many different folders out there, I don't see how this list isn't going to get intractable very quickly if people keep copying, then cutting and pasting into it. Still I wanted to play, so there's my list!

Jeff, Much appreciated...for some reason do not rec thread notices...thanks for info and helping. i

If we keep the info to the cameras we use most...

Include screw-in or push on...helps...for example I have an Ikon Mess that must use push-ons and guessing the size is 41mm, but have never been able to find shade or filter to fit...so I use big old Kodaks and hold them in front...

Remember that it's the inner ring on the Ikontas that is for filters. It's made that way so the push-on filter won't cover the focus scale.

Thanks for the correction, JPD. That answers the nagging question I had while measuring mine - "what's the deal with the inner and outer rings?". I should have known Zeiss would have a more precise filter attachment method!

Can you fill in the blank for the correct size then? Does it even take a standard series adapter or is it something unique to Zeiss? With the clunky calipers I'm using, I can't really get in there to make an accurate measurement of the inner diameter. I do notice that the gap is rather narrow though, so whatever it takes the size must have to be rather exact.

Thanks.

Jeff
