I've been getting into using my Ricoh GRD to shoot in infra-red.
I use a Hoya R72 filter. At first, I just used to shoot at high ISO (which gave shutter speeds just hand-holdable) and convert to black and white in a vague attempt to mimic the grainy look of HIE, like this:-

But recently I've been experimenting with low ISO false-colour infra-red, sometimes using manual white balance set off a patch of grass, and swapping over the red and blue channels to produce things like this:-

For the slow shots I used a mini-tripod and a handy post to stand it on, and set the 2 second self-timer to take the shot hands-free. Exposure time around a second.
Has anyone else experimented with this. It's definitely on my list of things to do this summer!
