Infrared film & filters

I like Maco 820c with a Hoya R72 filter. Developed in Microdol-X 1:1 9min 68F, but XTOL probably works too. The effect isn't as pronounced as HIE, but is sufficient to add a slightly surreal edge. And the film is reasonably fine grained. I shoot it at EI 6, spot metered off the darkest area I want texture in.

I love shooting Kodak HEI through a deep red (#29) filter. I get very good and consistent results.

Yikes! That's the crappy snap. How'd that get in here? Here's the better version. (Kodak HEI @ 400 through a deep red # 29 filter).
