I think the whole movie is just a great tutorial on composition. Tarantino did a wonderful job, just pause your DVD at any moment and you will see what I mean 🙂

It's not my favorite Tarantino movie either. But it's #3 after Pulp Fiction & Reservoir Dogs.

And it's the feel-good movie of the year, as far as I'm concerned. I realize Nazis might not agree.

I liked the part where the Englishman blew his cover, with his unusual German accent, then talked his way out of trouble by attributing the accent to his Alsatian upbringing. Then he immediately blows it again by holding up the wrong 3 fingers to order 3 beers.

Last night I saw a vintage Retina used in the film "The North Face" which takes place in 1936. I recall the Mel Gibson and Linda Hunt wield a Nikon F prominently in "The Year of Living Dangerously."

DeNiro uses an (evil) Leica R (7?) in Ronin. The bad guy uses a Nikon (FE or FM-something), of course.

I wondered about that (spelling). I'm with you, Hollywood can't make a movie anymore, too bad. But darn it my wife keeps dragging me to them. Well, at least I get a nap.

Great movie! Just watched it today and really enjoyed the flick. Not my favorite Tarantino film (that would be Pulp Fiction) but a fun fantasy WWII movie. Quite bloody though.

I'd go to spelling school myself, if I were you. It's cojones, not cajones.

And did you by any chance notice that it's not just the word basterd but also the word inglourious that's misspelled? I can only speculate but I would assume that the misspelling of the words should imply that they (the basterds) are an illiterate bunch.
