I will be a devil's advocate. I prefer inkjet over traditional darkroom for many reasons: ease of post processing, variety of papers and convenience. I am very curious to try piezography once my manufacturer's warranty expires
However, I still cannot find a good inkjet ICC profile + paper combo that will reproduce the look of AGFA Multicontrast fiber (best paper ever made)

Are you aware that there was a ruling that a manufacturer could not void their warranty because you used someone else's consumables? I think that law goes back over 100 years when there were laws passed that an auto manufacturer could not require you to use their house brand motor oil.
The story that an inkjet printer manufacturer could void their warranty because you used someone else's ink has been an urban legend that has gone around for years.
I have had Epson do a warranty replacement when I told them I was using Jon Cone's piezography inks.

I use my hp z 3100 for all my black and white prints love it . My epson desktop a 3880 just sucks for Black and white. I print both b& w and color on the hp just color on the epson though it is much newer the epson has far more clogs and is just a pain.
