wow!!! a Black QL17 at USD66.55??? man, what a bargain!!! this looks like the 2nd generation QL 17, same size as the GIII but like the first QL17, it's made in Japan.

if the seller ships out of US, i would have bought it!!! :bang: a nice addition to my Black GIII QL17

My first guess is that the black is an aftermarket paint job, not genuine Canon paint.

i do think it's from the canon factory, i mean the black paint

Unfortunate. That probably explains for the price; good for a DIY tinkerer.

Hmmm. What would a Black QL-17 GIII be worth? One that works properly and has new seals? Original factory paint.

The ones I've seen where they've repainted them still have the silver/chrome lens barrel and it's very obvious.

Last December I was able to pick up a black GIII in good condition, even good light seals, but for a bit more than this one went for. I just bid it on a whim and got it, but was almost outbid at the very end.
