Hi all,
I'm headed to London (UK) on Monday. Any suggestions for "must visit" camera stores?

You don't say for which cameras?
For general rangefinder and some great classic Nikon F, Aperture Photographic in Museum Street are excellent. http://www.apertureuk.com/
Just around the corner in Pied Bull Yard are The Classic Camera, who specialize in Leica. http://www.theclassiccamera.com/
Close to them are York Cameras, in Bury Place, at the entrance to Pied Bull Yard. They have a good general used selection.
Aperture is a very small store but with a great used selection. I have no connection with any of these stores. Let me know if I can be of more help.

I suggest Grays of Westminster for all things Nikon, including a great display of vintage Nikon in a classic surrounding.

Not a camera store. But Photographers' Gallery near Leicester Square tube is well worth spending some time at.
(And there's a good tradional pub nearby: The Lamb and Flag.)

In which store and what currency are you comparing it to? London prices are typically higher than US stores for a comparable item, in my experience.
The Classic Camera is expensive. Aperture are a bit more reasonable.

London is not a cheap place to buy cameras, or anything else. Shop rents are very high, for one thing, so retail prices reflect that.

Also check out Jacobs on new oxford street (not far from Aperture). Used section at the back of the store.

I'm not in the market to buy ... I just thought I'd take a look at some RF stuff. There's not much of it in Halifax.
Thanks for the suggestions!

In Aperture you can drink a good coffe while looking at the cameras (a lot of used Leica M´s). Interesting place.

Update: I went to Aperture, the Classic Camera and the Photographers' Gallery. Thanks for the suggestions! I thought about trading my R2A for a Hexar RF but it would have cost me 300 BP so I decided against it. I did but a couple of prints from the gallery though ...
