Interesting feature about Ken Schles

Thanks for posting. To be honest, I'd never heard of him until a few months ago. Not sure how I was alerted, maybe from Amazon or Steidl? -- but I ordered Invisible City and am very much looking forward to it. Publication seems delayed.

I am. I've seen this a couple of weeks ago.

Funny story, I was mentioning Ken Schles's work to a friend of mine sometime ago, was feeling nostalgic, and found out that Ken is married to his girlfriend's sister. I have known this guy for quite awhile and never knew this. Have not met Ken yet. We are of the same generation and I lived in the East Village for over 37 years, before moving when I got married. The earlier years were part of those that Ken photographed. I remember when Ken's book came out and leafed through it in the St. Marks Bookstore one evening. I didn't think much of it at the time, because I was living the book. It was too close to be objective. It wasn't until just a couple of years ago that I started to think of that book again.

Small world.
