A while back I was asking opinions on a 35mm Viewfinder for my M3. After careful consideration I chose the VC Mini Viewfinder 28/35. Upon receipt I immediately placed the new VF atop my camera and peered through it. To my surprise I had to shift the camera a bit to see the 35mm frame lines. The 28mm lines were quite easy to see but I had a hard time with the 35mm view. I easily came to the conclusion that this finder was not going to work for me. Keep in mind that I have poor eyesight to begin with. I'm sure that others who own this finder find it peachy, but not me. I emailed the seller and asked to exchange it for the regular 35mm VC Finder. BTW, I should note that I do not own a 28mm but thought maybe someday I might want one and the Mini would be a good cost saver. It also keeps a low profile on the camera, I like that.
Anyway, the 35mm VC Finder works perfectly.

So, why did I title this an 'Interesting Mix"? When I placed my camera back on the desk I looked down at the top of the body and made an interesteing observation. The body, as you know, has a beautiful engraved "Leica" logo. The lens I own is the Zeiss 35mm Biogon with the Zeiss lens hood which when attached has the "Zeiss Ikon" logo atop the hood. Add to that the new VC 35mm Finder which has the "Voigtlander" name screened atop the finder.

All the majpr German camera manufacturers playing a role one one camera (OK, so some are made in Japan 🙂 ).
